The 3rd International Colorectal Congress Started Working at Razavi Hospital
According to the Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department of Razavi Hospital, the 3rd International Colorectal Congress was held by Razavi Hospital in collaboration with the Association of Coloproctology as well as Mashhad and Shiraz Universities of Medical Sciences, and with the attendance of Dr. Reza Saeedi, CEO of Razavi Hospital, this morning on March 7th, 2018.
During this three- day congress, a group of national and foreign colon and rectal surgeons will exchange ideas about the new achievements in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer, the role of laparoscopy in treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and pelvic organs prolapse through five specialty program panels and three live surgeries.
More than 40 specialists from Iran, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Iraq will deliver lectures in this congress, among them we could mention Professor Martin K. Walz, Professor Bela Teleky, Dr. Bijan Ghavami and Dr. Faramarz Pakravan.
Laparoscopic surgery for removal of rectum, colorectal robotic surgery, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and pelvic organs prolapse are among the main topics of the specialty program panels in the 3rd International Colorectal Congress.
About colorectal diseases it should be mentioned that colorectal cancer is common in most of the countries across the world so that it is the third common malignancy that occurs in people about 45 to 50 years old. But today due to inappropriate diet, the prevalence of the mentioned diseases is observed among 25 year- old people.
The 17th Khorasan Optometry Congress began its work at Razavi Hospital with the attendance of more than 500 optometrists.
